The video shows 1.1.2 (no _01), is that a slightly older version that perhaps behaved differently? - Lordebon 18:35, 27 October 2010 (CDT) I can now confirm that redstone torches do not melt ice, at all. I've set them there for quite some time (~5 mins) surrounded by ice with no melting. CyborgDragon 17:53, 27 October 2010 (CDT) I have a winter world the current Alpha version (1.1.2_01) and redstone torches have not melted the ice. Even so, that video is pretty convincing. When I came back the torch was still there. Also, yeah, I've done a test in which I left a redstone torch sitting next to an ice block for two minecraft days, the only place for water to flow was into the torch. so, it seems impossible to not melt it.- Kizzycocoa 22:52, 27 October 2010 (UTC) Forgot your sig there, PurpleKiwi. the interval was irratic, and it started/stopped at the times the switch was pulled. I mean, they have a video of it, and you cannot link it to anything other than redstone. Was there a recent update that made them melt ice? (I use an old Minecraft.exe) EDIT:- PurpleKiwi 22:?, 27 October 2010 (UTC) Squeakmush 21:52, 29 March 2011 (UTC) Redstone Melting Ice I give you permission to post it on the wiki. It can be found here:, the first picture. I can get you some screenshots? - Darkrille132 08:46, 23 November 2010 (CST) I've got a great screenshot but I don't know how to post it. CaptainGoodtimes 15:22, 27 September 2010 (CDT) That is normal in single player too Soul4hdwn 15:30, 25 September 2010 (UTC) Oh wait, SAND doors. Disappointment. :'(ĬaptainGoodtimes 16:23, 24 September 2010 (CDT) On flooding - In the multiplayer server I'm on, doors block water whether open or closed. I agree that there should be screenshots because it would be easier for some of the minors that play to have a visual or video like with the piston pitfall trap. It would be good if we could get screenshots, or, even better, video examples for all or most of these.ĬruelNoise 22:06, 14 September 2010 (CDT) My recent edit fixed some grouping problems, but there are still more out there. 38 Just noticed "8.2.4 Dark Room and Drowning Room Trap" is a mob grinder not a player trap.
